Biography
Mark M. Caplan graduated from Gilman School in 1976, Johns Hopkins University in 1981, and Columbia Business School, which he attended as a Dean’s Fellow, in 1983. He began his career investing and managing real estate in 1978. In addition to his role at WPM, Mark serves as the President of and CEO of The Time Group, an investment real estate firm, as well as President and Chairman of the Management Committee of Madison Capital, a national vehicle and equipment leasing firm.
He is a founding member of the Real Estate Advisory Board at the Columbia Business School. He has been a guest lecturer at the Columbia Business School, Wharton Business School, the University of Maryland School of Law and the Carey School of Business. Community involvement has included positions on the Board of Trustees at Saint Ignatius Loyola Academy, the Bryn Mawr School, Walters Art Museum, Gilman School, Center Stage, and Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Bay Bank, FSB as well as the Charles Street Development Corporation.
